Ultramarines Honor Guard

So first off these are converted from Blood Angels Death Company. I cannot stand Blood Angels, as most people know, because quite often the players are arrogant beyond reason and they chose their army based on stats, not on pride or lore. That being said however the Blood Angels models do look amazing and that is why I selected the Death Company to be converted into one of my honor guard squads.

I plan to go back and do some basing (waiting on a check to come in so I can buy the materials I wish to use.) This is also my second attempt at doing any green stuff modifications. I made several Ultramarine "U"s for backpacks, halos, shoulders, legs, etc. I chose not to put greenstuff "U"s on every shoulder pad because I wanted the one guy with that to stand out. I am ultimately pleased with the way these look.

The centerpiece of these is a character named Korelus, he is a representation of my best friend if he was to be in my army in this universe. I found it fitting, and a bit honorclad (made up word woot!), to have him in my honor guard because he is a cool dude, means a lot to me that he is my friend. The banner on him is one taken from the Tigurius model that I painted months ago. I never put the banner on that model, obviously, and when I was looking for some custom additions I picked this up and it most certainly seemed to go with the models action pose, especially because of the flow of the cloth.

This is also one of my first attempts at 'writing' with a paint brush, which is a pain to say the least. The back of banner bearing Space Marine Says "Korelus" and I put "Ultra" on the banner, I was pleased with their outcomes as well.
