Deathwatch by jstncloud Deathwatch by jstncloud
I painted these miniatures recently for a display at Adepticon this year, first personal models I've painted in forever! Check out my gallery to see the rest of the unit (other marines, Inquisitor, Rhino/Razorback, and my Forge World Deredero!).

If you might be interested in getting some commission work done send me a message or check us out here: www.brush4hire.com/quote-reque…

Fantastic, and very inspiring.  I may make a similar-sized force of the new Mechanicus range just for my personal satisfaction and for playing games that aren't 40k but set in the 40kverse.

I love how even the dreadnought is also from another chapter.

How many points does this total?
I know it's for show, but hypothetically, because we've got unbound.

I only play battleforged when I play. I proxy the Inquisitor as a librarian. When I used this last week for the first time it was a little over 600 pts with a drop pod instead of a razorback if I recall.

Not bad, that.
I like smaller games, too.
More tactical, less attrition.

Well these were only a small portion of the force, we played at the 1500pt level. Anything beyond that and (in my opinion) marine armies start to suffer. The difference between 1500 and 1850 is only 350pts. For space marines this does not bring that much to the table but for some armies 350 points can really add to their overall model count which makes the games more difficult.

Yeah, I personally find 1250-1500 to be a magic limit for Tau
The only way to be competent over that is to run cheese lists.
It's FAR easier to be competent under that, now, but previous codex, barely a chance at all.

Not running OP lists, I find Tau have a rough time keeping up at all over 2k

Over 1500 if you aren't spamming Riptides or bringing in a bunch of allies you probably will have issues. I totally agree.

Yeah, of course, even spamming Sunsharks/Razorsharks, you're gonna get wrecked.
Seriously seriously crap flyers for their points cost.
